Hi, I'm Aaron.

I'm a DevOps engineer in Utah. At work I write a lot of infrastructure as code in Terraform and Pulumi, and I care about the boring things that keep systems up: reproducible environments, readable pipelines and changes you can plan before you apply.

At home I'm a software developer who can't leave well enough alone. I run a six-node Kubernetes cluster on a stack of OptiPlex Micros, maintain a Discord audio app in Go, and keep rewriting my dotfiles until every line earns its place. Most of my favorite problems live where software meets something physical: a router, a sound card, a disk that has to hold three copies of everything.

I go by Lil Strudel online. I like small, sharp tools, measuring before optimizing, and code that's clear enough to not need comments. I write about the nerdy parts on the blog.
